What we collect, what we do not, and how ads on this site work.
StudyReady ("we", "us", "this site") is a free study resource available at interactiveextendedlearning.org. This page explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and honest rather than burying the important parts in legal language.
The interactive tools on this site (the Flashcard Builder, Practice Quiz Generator, Word List Driller, Cornell Notes Template, Study Planner, Concept Map Builder, Essay Outline Tool, Focus Checklist, and Pomodoro Timer) use a browser feature called localStorage to remember what you have entered between visits. This data stays on your device. We do not have a server that receives it, and we cannot see it.
Because it lives in your browser, it will disappear if you clear your browsing data, use a private or incognito window, or switch to a different device or browser. If you are on a shared or school computer, be aware that the next person using the same browser profile could see what you saved. You can clear everything StudyReady has stored at any time from your browser's settings under "site data" or "cookies and site data".
Like almost every website, our web server records basic technical information about each request: the IP address it came from, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page (if any), and the browser's user-agent string. We use these logs to detect abuse (for example, automated scanners), diagnose errors, and understand roughly how many people use the site. Logs are rotated and deleted on a regular schedule and are not shared with third parties except as required by law.
StudyReady is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. This is how we keep the site free and account-free.

We do not run our own analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or social media widgets. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
StudyReady is written for students from middle school through college, and some visitors may be under 13. We deliberately do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information from anyone, regardless of age. The only data tied to a visitor is the anonymous server log described above and the advertising cookies described in the previous section, which are controlled by Google and subject to Google's own policies. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern, please contact us.
Some pages link to outside resources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites, and we recommend reading their policies if you have concerns.
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Substantial changes (for example, adding any form of account or analytics) will also be noted on the About page.
