About
A free resource built for students who want to study more effectively without paying for it.
StudyReady started from a simple observation: most students study hard but not efficiently. They re-read textbooks, highlight everything, and cram the night before - habits that feel productive but don't actually work that well. Meanwhile, the research on what does work is sitting in academic papers most students will never read.
This site is an attempt to bridge that gap. Every tool and tip here is grounded in what learning science actually says about memory, retention, and focus - translated into something practical you can use today.
There's no subscription, no account, and no paywall. Students shouldn't have to pay to learn how to learn.
Every tool and resource on this site is free to use. No premium tier, no trial period, no credit card.
You shouldn't have to hand over an email address to use a study tool. Nothing here requires sign-up.
The strategies we recommend come from cognitive science research, not productivity influencers.
Whether you're in middle school, high school, or college, the fundamentals of learning are the same.
StudyReady is built and maintained by one person, a developer and former student who spent years studying the hard way before finding out what the research actually recommends. It is not a company. There is no team, no investors, and no plan to add a paid tier. The site is supported by a small amount of advertising, which is what keeps it free.
The tools are written from scratch in plain JavaScript and run entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere. The subject reference pages are compiled from standard curricula and checked by hand, and each one ends with a section on the mistakes students most often make in that subject. The guides are original long-form articles on study technique, grounded in cognitive science research on memory and learning, and updated when readers point out something unclear or wrong.
If you are a teacher and want to use any of this in a classroom, go ahead. No permission needed.
